Maintenance and Optimization Strategies of Cutting Fluid in Kronesseder Metal Processing

The maintenance of cutting fluid is the key to ensuring its optimal performance during mechanical processing.
Here are some main maintenance measures:

I、 Daily inspection and monitoring
1. Visual inspection:
Daily concentration tester is used to check the color and odor of cutting fluid. These intuitive indicators can reflect the basic condition of cutting fluid and detect abnormalities in a timely manner.
2. Concentration management and supplementation:
Monitor and record the concentration of cutting fluid daily to ensure it is not below the recommended range. When supplementing, the concentration should be adjusted according to the actual situation on site and recorded in detail.
3. pH monitoring and adjustment:
At least once a week, check the pH value and maintain it within an appropriate range (such as 8.5 to 9.5) to ensure stable performance of the cutting fluid.

II、 Cycle system optimization
1. Ensure smooth circulation:
Regularly inspect the cutting fluid circulation system to ensure no blockages or leaks. After a long shutdown (more than 3 days), it is recommended to start a cycle for at least half an hour to avoid the growth of anaerobic bacteria that can cause the cutting fluid to deteriorate.
2. Control of foreign impurities:
Regularly inspect and remove foreign impurities to prevent them from mixing into the cutting fluid system. If impurities are found mixed in, the cause should be immediately identified and dealt with.

III、 Purification and Antibacterial
1. Regular purification:
By using methods such as ultrafine filtration, solid powder, floating oil, and free water in the cutting fluid are removed to maintain its cleanliness.
2. Antibacterial treatment:
Cutting fluid (especially lotion) is vulnerable to bacterial contamination, so it is necessary to regularly inject bactericide or use ultrafiltration and other means to inhibit bacterial propagation.

IV、 Storage and Management
1. Storage conditions:
Cutting fluid should be stored in a warehouse with suitable temperature (such as 5 ℃~35 ℃) and good ventilation, away from fire and heat sources. When storing, ensure that the packaging is tight and secure to prevent leakage.
2. Data management:
Record, collect, and archive testing data, and regularly summarize and archive cutting fluid testing data such as concentration, pH value, rust resistance, and floating oil/soap amount on a monthly basis.

V、 Other precautions
1. Clean the liquid tank:
Both old systems and new equipment require regular cleaning of oil tanks, pipelines, and machine tools to ensure the cleanliness of the cutting fluid system.
2. Water quality requirements:
Clean tap water should be used when manufacturing cutting fluid, and well water with high hardness should be avoided to avoid affecting the performance of the cutting fluid.
3. Prevent standing still:
After adding the cutting fluid solution mixed with water to the machine tool, it should be avoided to leave it unused for a long time. If encountering a long-term shutdown (referring to more than 3 days), it is recommended to turn on the pump every day to circulate the cutting fluid for more than 30 minutes.
In summary, the maintenance of cutting fluid involves multiple aspects such as daily inspection, optimization of circulation system, purification and antibacterial, storage and management. Through scientific and reasonable maintenance measures, it is possible to ensure that cutting fluid maintains optimal performance during mechanical machining, prolong the service life of machine tools and cutting tools, and improve machining efficiency and quality.
